One of the reasons for this phenomenon is that the amount of hot melt adhesive is not controlled properly, which leads to the overflow of hot melt adhesive and the formation of glue line when the plate is bonded to the edge tape. 

So during the edge banding, there is no need to put the amount of glue to the maximum to ensure that the edge banding tape does not fall off.

You can try many times, and know the best amount of glue. If the amount of glue is appropriate, the edge banding tape still fall off, it is good to consider the quality of hot melt.
